Cancellation Policy
The airline permits passengers traveling to or from the United states to cancel their booking within 24 hours of purchasing it. Moreover, this 24 hour polich permits passengers to get a refund without any fee deduction or penalties. As long as the booking was done at least 7 days before the flight departure date. Furthermore, Volaris Costa Rica’s tickets are non-refundable. In addition to this, if the passenger's immediate family member dies then the airline may refund the ticket, provided that a death certificate is given by the passenger.
Upon cancellation of the flight by Volaris Costa Rica will of course inform the passengers. It will also provide services like free meals, refreshments, accommodation, phone calls, etc. Moreover, the passenger can choose from either of the following:
- Rerouting at earliest opportunity through another carrier along with max 25% compensation
- Rerouting at a later date with max 25% compensation
- Refund in accordance with the provisions of conditions of carriage
Furthermore, if the ticket is completely unused then the refund is equal to the fare paid. On the other hand, if the ticket is used then refund is equal to the difference between fare paid and fare applicable for transportation/services used.
Refund Policy
Volaris Costa Rica tickets are not refundable. However, passengers can opt for a refund if the flight is cancelled by the airline itself. Moreover, in such a scenario if the ticket is completely unused then the refund is equal to the fare paid. On the other hand, if the ticket is used then refund is equal to the difference between fare paid and fare applicable for transportation/services used. The airline will also only refund the unused portions of the ticket. In addition to this, the airline will refund the ticket to the person who is named on the ticket or whoever paid for the ticket, provided that satisfactory proof of payment is given. Lastly, the passenger also needs to submit valid photo identification of the passenger names on the ticket to get a refund.
