Take your hand luggage on board

You are only permitted to bring one (1) piece of hand luggage into the cabin, and you are responsible for taking good care of it.
Remember that your luggage will be placed in the aeroplane hold if there is no room in the cabin or exceeds the permitted size and weight.

Dimensions and weight

There is a 5-kilogram limit on hand baggage weight.
The maximum size, including pockets, wheels, and handle, must be 40 cm x 50 cm x 25 cm (width, height, and thickness).
It must be cleared if the luggage is larger or heavier than these limits.

Personal Baggage

Only 1 (one) Personal Item may be brought on board for free on any of our fares, and it must be handled carefully.

Checked Baggage

Items of this sort get special service and are subject to particular rules as per their qualities. The passenger must pack it appropriately so the airline can acknowledge them as baggage.

Furthermore, the expense of carrying these items depends on the class fare. Andes Líneas Aéreas provides an allowance of 30kg weight for this equipment. Passengers can also travel with a wheelchair and sporting equipment.

If the equipment is heavier, then the excess fee is applicable. Therefore, passengers must check in with the airline to transport more significant parts such as windsurfing sails, poles, hand gliders, kayaks, etc. Refer below for specific details of some equipment:

  3. Bike – passengers must adequately pack the bike, with flat wheels, without pedals, and with the handlebars tied to the side.
  4. Golf – passengers can carry one golf bag with clubs and one pair of golf shoes.
  5. Diving – passengers can carry an air regulator, a pressure gauge, a mask, a snorkel, frog legs, a knife, a harpoon (unloaded and safely packed), and a life jacket. Oxygen cylinders are only accepted as checked baggage.
  6. Fishing – Passengers can carry two fishing rods, a reel, a net, a pair of fishing boots, and a wire basket (for storing fish)
  7. Surfing and windsurfing – Passengers can carry one board in each bag, which should not exceed 2100 cm.
  8. Televisions and monitors – Fragile items should not be included in the luggage as they can cause damage to the luggage itself and third parties.

Musical Instrument

Passengers can bring musical instruments into the cabin if they do not exceed the allowance. However, they must be transported to the aircraft's hold if they do not comply with the established measures.

To carry musical instruments in the cabin, it must meet the following conditions: Passengers must make a prior reservation of an additional seat, with the same fare and class as your ticket, without the right to another checked baggage allowance. (The airline permits a 75 kg allowance, whereas 45kg weight is allowed in the cabin)

Passengers need to make reservations in the cabin to transport the cello. Guitars must be kept in a flexible case. A hard case must be transported in the cargo hold if you only have a hard case.
