Baggage Policy

2. Checked Baggage: The number of checked bags allowed depends on the fare class and destination. For economy class passengers, one checked bag weighing up to 23kg is allowed on flights within Europe, and two checked bags weighing up to 23kg each are allowed on flights to/from North America. Business class passengers are allowed two checked bags weighing up to 32kg each on all flights.

3. Excess Baggage: Passengers may be charged for excess baggage if their checked baggage exceeds the weight or size limits. The fee for excess baggage varies depending on the destination and fare class.

4. Special Baggage: Passengers can bring special items such as sports equipment or musical instruments, but additional fees may apply. Passengers should contact Aer Lingus in advance to make arrangements for special baggage.

Carry-on Baggage

They provide two options for transporting your 10 kg luggage while traveling.

If your reservation does not allow you to check a suitcase heavier than 10 kg, you must purchase a "Carry-on bag with priority boarding" for €5.99/£5.99 online. Alternatively, leave your luggage at the check-in counter or bag drop kiosk when check-in opens (available in Dublin, Shannon, and London) and pick it up at the baggage carousel when you arrive. This choice is cost-free.

Checked Baggage

There is a weight limitation of baggage that you carry with you. The maximum weight allowance is of dimensions 55 x 40 x 24 cm. In extra, without any additional fees, you can carry a piece of hand luggage which should be of dimensions 25 x 33 x 20cm such as you can carry your laptop with you. If your luggage is exceeding this dimension then you will have to pay additional fees according to the extra baggage. If you do not want to pay then do not carry with you oversized luggage.
