The airline permits passengers to cancel a booking. However, this may depend on the fare type of the ticket passenger books, as some conditions attached to the ticket may not allow passengers to cancel their ticket. Moreover, service fee or cancellation fee is also applicable.
Upon cancellation/delay of the flight by Nordwind Airlines the airline will of course inform the passengers. It will also provide services like free meals, refreshments, accommodation, phone calls, etc. depending on the duration of delay. Moreover, the passenger will also get compensation according to the Russian Air Code.
Passengers can get a refund of a ticket that they possess, the reimbursement value will depend on the tariff conditions attached to the ticket. It is also possible that certain conditions attached to the ticket might prevent the passenger from cancelling the booking. Moreover, a fee may be applied upon cancellation of booking. - Lite Economy – this fare does not permit passengers to get a refund of their ticket (non-refundable)
- Optimum Economy – on a refund request made more than 24 hours before the flight a charge of 30 USD is applicable and upon a refund request made less than 24 hours before the flight, a charge of 35 USD is applicable. Moreover, a refund after departure of the flight is not given.
- Premium Economy – on a refund request made more than 24 hours before the flight a charge of 17.80 USD is applicable and upon a refund request made less than 24 hours before the flight, a charge of 23.74 USD is applicable. Moreover, if a refund request is made after the departure of the flight a fee of 83.08 USD is applicable.
- Optimum Business – this fare does not permit passenger to get a refund of the ticket (non-refundable)
- Premium Business – this fare includes refund of the ticket
In addition to this, the passenger needs to submit valid photo identification of the passenger names on the ticket to get a refund. And if the booking is done through a travel agent then the passenger needs to contact them to apply for a refund. Furthermore, the airline will refund the ticket to the person who is named on the ticket or whoever paid for the ticket, provided that satisfactory proof of payment is given.
