Carry-on baggage 

Nordwind Airlines permits passengers to carry baggage according to the cabin class. Economy Light and Optimum passengers can carry one hand baggage. Moreover, the baggage can be of maximum 10kg weight with 40 x 30 x 20cm dimensions. Furthermore, Nordwind Airlines permits Premium Economy fare and Business class fare (Optimum comfort and premium comfort) passengers to carry 1 piece of cabin bag. But the baggage can be of maximum 10kg weight with 55 x 40 x 20cm dimensions. Lastly, in addition to the hand baggage passengers can also bring one personal item. For instance, laptop bag or umbrella.

 

Checked baggage 

The airline permits passengers to carry checked baggage depending on their cabin class and fare. Moreover, Economy Light fare does not include any free checked baggage. On the other hand, Economy Optimum includes one piece of 15kg baggage and Economy Premium includes one piece of 20kg baggage allowance. Furthermore, Optimum Comfort fare  includes one piece of 30kg baggage allowance. Whereas, Premium Comfort fare includes two pieces of 30kg baggage allowance. Lastly, all checked baggage can be of maximum 203cm dimensions. 

 

Sports Equipment  

Nordwind Airlines permits passengers to take their sports equipment with them on their next big adventure. Refer below to get further details about the sporting equipment that can be carried-

• Skiing equipment- pair of ski, pair of plies, pair of boots 
• Snowboarding equipment – snowboard, a pair of boots
• Fishing equipment – 2 Fishing rods and 1 set of tackle, 
• Surfing equipment – max 2 pc surfing board, board fins, fastenings, wet suit, wet shoes/boots, other accessories 
• Diving equipment – 1pc buoyancy compensator, wet suit, helmet, gloves, boots, pressure gauge, diving mask, other accessories 
• Golf equipment – 1 Proper golf bag, Golf clubs (iron and/or wood), Golf balls
• Bikes – Handlebar rotated from its original position and attached to the bicycle frame, Pedals must be removed, properly packed

 

Prohibited Items 

The airline does not permit the carriage of the following items in hand baggage or checked baggage:

• Explosives and items with explosive inserts, as well as explosive tools
• Liquefied and compressed gases
• Flammable liquids
• Flammable solids
• Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides
• Toxic substances
• Radioactive materials
• Acrid or corrosive substances
• Firearms, cold steel, or gas weapons for exceptions
• Gas sprays, pepper sprays, etc. with an active agent
