Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and its effects, airBaltic is left with no choice but to cancel the flights. In such a case passengers are informed immediately. If the flight gets cancelled less that 14 days before the departure, then the passengers have the opportunity to rebook the flight or change the route to the destination.
Whether the passenger can cancel their flight ticket depends on the type of ticket they have purchased. Therefore, the responsibility comes down to the passenger to check their ticket type at the time of booking.
Business – are fully refundable, given that refund request is submitted within the validity period. Passengers with a Green classic ticket receive a 50 EUR refund if flight is cancelled before the departure. Lastly, arBaltic only refunds the taxes to Green & Green plus ticket holders. Unless the passengers added a cancellation option for their flight. Lastly, passengers have the option of purchasing a full refund of their ticket in case they want to cancel. The refund will be given in form of a gift card, this service can be available at a non-refundable fee of 19.99 EUR.
To get a full refund the passenger must cancel the ticket within 24 hours of booking the flight ticket. Upon cancellation of the flight if the passenger does not want to change the date, destination or route, they have the opportunity to get a refund. airBaltic offers two options for refund, either bank transfer or a gift card.
The airline will process the refund of a ticket in accordance with the conditions attached to the ticket purchased by the passenger. Refund of the ticket will only be made to the ticket holder or the individual who paid for the ticket. In case a passenger bought the ticket through an Agent, then the agent is required to submit the refund request.
