Baggage Policy

Air Canada Airlines baggage policy allows passengers to bring one piece of carry-on baggage and one personal item on board. It provides guidelines for the amount of checked bags allowed depending on the ticket class and route. Excess luggage may be subject to a fee, and certain items are prohibited from being brought on board. Therefore, passengers need to review the airline's baggage policy before their flight to avoid any issues at the airport.

Carry-on/Cabin Baggage Policy

  1. Passengers in Economy Class are allowed one standard article and one personal article on board.
  2. The standard article must not exceed 23 x 40 x 55 cm (9 x 15.5 x 21.5 in), and the personal essay must not exceed 16 x 33 x 43 cm (6 x 13 x 17 in).
  3. Passengers in Premium Economy, Business Class, and Signature Class are allowed two standard articles and one personal article on board.
  4. The weight of each standard article must not exceed 10 kg (22 lb), and the combined weight of all three pieces must not exceed 18 kg (40 lb).

NOTE: Bulkhead seats lack under-seat storage, so all carry-on and cabin luggage must be stored in the overhead compartment during takeoff and landing.

Checked Baggage

  1. The number and weight of checked bags allowed vary depending on the route, cabin class, and fare type.
  2. Passengers in Economy Class are generally allowed one checked bag weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb) on domestic and international flights.
  3. Passengers in Premium Economy, Business Class, and Signature Class are generally allowed two checked bags weighing up to 32 kg (70 lb) each on most routes.
