TAROM Overview
TAROM was founded in 1954 and it is Romania’s flag carrier. Moreover, this airline holds the tag for being the largest airline operating in Romania based on International flights. In addition to this, based on its fleet size and passengers carried the airline also happens to be the second largest airline after Blue Air. The airline has also established its name by developing with aviation I Romania and it happens to be the popular choice amongst passengers. Furthermore, the airline is a member of Star Alliance. Therefore, it has codeshare agreements with AirBaltic, Bulgaria Air, Royal Jordanian, Aeroflot, KLM, Air France, Vietnam Airlines, Air Europa, Brussels Airlines, Czech Airlines, Aegean Airlines, Middle Eastern Airlines, Alitalia, and Air Serbia. Lastly, the airline’s fleet consists of 25 crafts that includes Boeing, Airbus and ATR.
TAROM Hub and Destinations
TAROM has its hub airport as Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP). Moreover, the airline operates flights to domestic and international destinations across mostly Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East. In addition to this, some destinations that the airline operates flights to include London, Paris, Brussels, Vienna, Athens, Munich, Hamburg, Rome, Amsterdam, Madrid, London, Belgrade, Oradea, Bucharest, Sibiu, and many more.
TAROM Travel Class
This airline only offers Economy class and Business Class on-board.
Business Class
Business class passengers can expect priority services not only at the airport but also on the aircraft. For instance, priority check-in, access to business lounge, priority drop off, etc are available for the passengers. Moreover, once on the flight passengers are welcomed with a drink of their choice by the warm and friendly staff. In addition to this, an in-flight menu is available which may differ depending on the travel route and aircraft type. Lastly, the seats are very comfortable and come with generous legroom.
Economy Class
Economy cabin gives passengers the best value on TAROM, it is the most basic cabin class available. It also comes with satisfying and comfortable service for the passenger. Moreover, the passengers can enjoy a range of meals on board, these can be ordered at least 12 hours before the flight. In addition to this, different beverages to choose from are available to the passengers. Furthermore, passengers can select their preferred seat for free upon check-in 30 hours before the flight. They also have access to entertainment on the Air-Fi platform on the flight to enhance their experience. Lastly, the seats are very comfortable and have good legroom.
In-Flight Entertainment
TAROM provides passengers with TAROM AirFi, which is an entertainment platform. Passengers can access it wirelessly through their laptop, phone or tablet. Moreover, this platform has a lot of entertaining content for both adults and children. For instance, movies, music, games, chatting with other passengers, news, articles, etc. Lastly, this service will surely keep the passenger entertained throughout the journey.
In-Flight Food
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic TAROM has made the decision to take up a few steps in order to maintain safety of crew and passengers. Therefore, there is a suspension of free meals at the moment. However, passengers are provided with water on board. Furthermore, passengers can also pack their food and bring it with them on board. It is important, however, for the food to be packed properly.
Frequent Flyer Program
Flying blue is the frequent flyer program of TAROM, which aims to award loyal passengers. Moreover, passengers can enjoy discounted prices due to membership. Membership levels are based on the number of miles or qualifying flights a passenger has made. In addition to this, passengers have the chance of earning miles by flying with Air France, KLM, or any other airline that is part of SkyTeam Airlines. Furthermore, four memberships are available and they are as follows :

- Silver
- Platinum
- Gold
Lastly, passengers can redeem miles on exclusive benefits like upgrades, pay for hotel/car, booking tickets, etc.
