Cancellation Policy

Hong Kong Airline has a 24 hour cancellation policy, if you submit a cancellation request within 24 hours then the ticket is cancelled and a refund is provided. This is provided that the passenger purchased the ticket one week before to travel. 

Upon cancellation of a flight, the airline informs the passengers within 30 minutes of becoming aware of the disruption. The information is provided in the boarding gate area and also on Hong Kong Airline website. Moreover, the airline will provide assistance in such a situation. They will provide accommodations so as to mitigate inconvenience faced by the passenger and also aim to rebook passengers on the next flight. 

Refund Policy

If the ticket is issued with a 851 prefix then a refund request can be made. If the ticket is not purchased through the official Hong Kong Airlines website, authorized channel or mobile application then you can’t get a refund online.

Refunds will be issued to the credit card which was used to make the payment of the ticket. If the payment was made in cash, then the refund will take around 20 days. Fees for services that were unavailable, due to some situation, but paid for by the passenger will be reimbursed to the passenger.
