Carry-on Baggage
Economy class passengers can carry one item of carry-on baggage, whereas Business class passengers can carry two-items of carry-on baggage. The baggage dimensions should not exceed 15 cm or 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. Lastly, the baggage should not exceed 7kg weight.

Checked Baggage
Economy class passengers can carry baggage weighing up to 20kg, whereas Business class passengers can carry one 30kg baggage. Gold and Platinum Fortune wings members can carry extra 30kg, whereas Silver Fortune wings members can carry extra 20 kg. Economy class passengers flying to Australia can carry 30kg checked baggage and Business class passengers can carry 40 kg baggage.

Self-Bag drop (SBD)
This self-bag drop method is very convenient, it is very fast and is absolutely easy. Six SBD machines at Hong Kong airlines counters at the internationally acclaimed Hong Kong International Airport. There will be airline staff present to assist the passengers with the new service. As of now that trial run is going on, so this service is only applicable to passengers and has one check baggage. There are few steps to use SBD, they are as follows:
- Passengers need to complete online/self check-in and need to have boarding pass in hand
- Proceed to the SBD counters
- Passengers need to follow instructions displayed on the SBD device and then retrieve the bag tag
- They can then attach the back tag to their baggage
- Lastly, drop the baggage at the counter and collect the baggage receipt
Musical Instruments
Passengers can carry music instruments on the craft. However, passengers should put instrument in a study hard case which can protect the musical instruments from any harm on impact. Passengers may need to check in the instrument, this depends on the size of the instrument. In case musical instruments are in a soft case, they will not be accepted on board.
Passengers can bring small instruments as cabin baggage. However the dimensions must not exceed 76 x 25 x 13cm, including the instrument case. And the weight of the instrument must not exceed 7kg, again including the instrument case.
