There will be airline staff present to assist the passengers with the new service. As of now that trial run is going on, so this service is only applicable to passengers and has one check baggage. There are few steps to use SBD, they are as follows:

  1. Passengers need to complete online/self check-in and need to have boarding pass in hand
  2. Proceed to the SBD counters
  3. Passengers need to follow instructions displayed on the SBD device and then retrieve the bag tag
  4. They can then attach the back tag to their baggage
  5. Lastly, drop the baggage at the counter and collect the baggage receipt

Musical Instruments

Passengers can carry music instruments on the craft. However, passengers should put instrument in a study hard case which can protect the musical instruments from any harm on impact. Passengers may need to check in the instrument, this depends on the size of the instrument. In case musical instruments are in a soft case, they will not be accepted on board.

Passengers can bring small instruments as cabin baggage. However the dimensions must not exceed 76 x 25 x 13cm, including the instrument case. And the weight of the instrument must not exceed 7kg, again including the instrument case.
