Personal and carry-on Baggage

Egyptair allows passengers to bring one piece of carry-on baggage and one personal item onboard their flights. The carry-on baggage must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm and weigh no more than 8kg. The individual item must fit under the seat in front of the passenger and can include a purse, laptop bag, or small backpack.

Passengers can also bring items such as jackets, umbrellas, and duty-free purchases onboard their flights, in addition to their carry-on baggage and personal thing. However, it is essential to note that any liquids, gels, or aerosols brought onboard must be placed in a clear plastic bag with a maximum one-liter capacity. Each container must not exceed 100ml. Egyptair allows one carry-on bag for the infant's necessities, such as diapers and formula, for infants traveling with infants. If a passenger's carry-on baggage exceeds the permitted dimensions or weight, it may be checked in as checked baggage at the airport counter.

Checked Baggage

Egyptair's checked baggage policy varies depending on the travel class and route. Passengers can check the exact baggage allowance for their flight on Egyptair's website or by contacting customer service.

For flights to/from the Americas, Egyptair allows passengers in Economy Class to bring two pieces of checked baggage weighing up to 23kg. Passengers in Business Class are allowed two pieces of checked baggage, each weighing up to 32kg.

For all other routes, Economy Class passengers are allowed one piece of checked baggage weighing up to 23kg, while Business Class passengers are allowed two pieces of checked baggage, each weighing up to 32kg.

Infants traveling on Egyptair flights are allowed one piece of checked baggage weighing up to 23kg, in addition to a stroller or car seat.

It is important to note that excess baggage fees may apply for baggage that exceeds the allowed weight or number of pieces. Passengers can also purchase additional baggage allowance in advance on Egyptair's website or at the airport counter.

Excess Baggage

Excess baggage fees will apply if a passenger's checked baggage exceeds the allowed weight or number of pieces. The prices for excess baggage vary depending on the route and travel class. Passengers can check the exact fees for their flight on Egyptair's website or by contacting customer service.

Passengers can also purchase additional baggage allowance in advance on Egyptair's website or at the airport counter. It is recommended to buy extra baggage allowance in advance to avoid higher fees at the airport.

If a passenger has excess baggage that cannot be accommodated on the flight, it may be transported on a later flight, subject to availability. The excess baggage will be tagged and transported separately, and the passenger will collect it at the destination airport.
