Cancellation and Refund Information
Alitalia has a 24 hour cancellation policy, which truly reflects their objective of providing the best service. Most importantly, If you cancel within the time frame you get the full refund.
Furthermore, if your flight is cancelled then you will be provided with alternative transportation or if you prefer, a full refund. Additionally, you will also be provided assistance with meals, accommodations and further transport. Moreover, if the flight is cancelled 14 days prior the scheduled departure, then you are entitled to compensation. However, if the flight is cancelled due to reasons beyond control (adverse weather, strikes, etc.) then compensation is not entitled.
A full refund will be provided if the request is put in within the time frame, a $20 administrative fee per ticket is also applicable.
You can apply for a refund by visiting ‘my experience’ portion of the website. Moreover, the request will be examined in 30 days. Finally, it is absolutely essential to keep the hills and receipts in order to request a refund.
