Airport check-in
This service is available for passengers, it costs 35 EUR for it. To avail it passengers must arrive at the airport early enough so as to complete all the formalities. airBaltic can refuse boarding to passenger, in case the passenger arrives after the check-in deadline.
Passengers can utilize twilight check-in, which essentially allows passengers to drop their luggage from 7pm to 10pm on the day before the flight departs. This service is available at Riga airport. Moreover passengers can directly go to security control and then to the departure gate before the flight. Lastly passengers need to be at the boarding gate at least 25 minutes prior to their scheduled flight departure time.
Passengers can also self check-in and collect their boarding pass using kiosks which are located in the departure hall. This service is available if the flight departs from Riga or Copenhagen airport. The deadline to check in using a kiosks Riga airport for economy class passengers is 40 minutes before flight departs. And for the same the deadline for Business class passengers is 30 minutes. Additionally if passengers need to drop off their baggage than they required to report even earlier.
Some passengers might not be allowed to avail the self check-in service if they are travelling with a pet, travelling on charter flights, have unaccompanied minors with them, or reduced mobility, etc. For more information on this please visit here.

Through online check-in passengers can avoid the long hold up, queues at the airport. Moreover, they get to save their money. They can simply check-in at their own convenience using their phone or tablet. In addition, passengers can print their boarding ticket on their own and head straight for baggage drop or security check.
